banned members

I was just gonna say alot of times i find that certain members have been banned and i never know why...maybe there could be a thread in the community channel that explains why members have been banned...

edit: maybe this should be in the suggestions channel ops feel free to move it.

Exactly as butch mentioned, its been brought up before and what it really boils down to is most times its really none of our business.
They were banned for a reason, mods are human if the banned member feels they made a mistake they have the option of communicating with the mod to be possibly let back in. This has been proven several times over.

The main reason for not posting threads about why certain members where banned, etc, is that it is between them and the mods/admin, not for public debate.

If we are worried about getting banned ourselves, we should read the FAQ's (again) and PM a mod for advice, rather than look at why others were banned.

IMO, anyhow.

i was thinking of it more as a warning system like....this guy was banned because "he attempted to sell warez" or "tried to hack the system" blah blah whatever....it really doesnt matter to me i guess it was really me just being nosey

afaik most ppl get banned for being abusive, obnoxious... to other users/mods. "tried to hack the system" is sooo last tuesday

If you want to know, then you simply ask the banned member. That's not so hard is it? If you don't know how to contact them outside of TechIMO, then you didn't know them all that well. And if you don't know them all that well then it's none of your business.
