Those things get a lot bigger than that one. Although I wouldn't mess with that one either.

I have seen them on golf courses as large around as a pizza. You can see them like 2 fairways over....it looks like someone dropped their hat or something. I was going to help one out once...cuz I knew he was just going from one pond to the other....so I picked him up and he went wild, lol....he peed all over the place etc, lol.

good way to lose a finger or a big piece of your arm. Alligator snapping turtle. My friend caught one over 100 lbs ended up giving it to the local zoo. He had to use a wheelbarrow to get it home.

If its a snapper you're safe to pick him up by the tail, he can't get ya

If its a leatherback Don't even think about it!
He'll get ya

Can they reach around and bite you if you're holding them by the shell? (I have no experience with turtles.)

Be careful of those with bandanas around their head.......... I think some have martial arts skills.

They usually hang out in sewers and eat pizza.

I picked up a leatherback once... they have a neck a foot long that strikes like lightning. I found that out while I was examining it and it removed a chunk of my lip. A small chunk as its aim was off or I was just out of range. A big enough chunk to bleed like a stuck pig, but small enough it healed on its own. Learned my lesson.
