favorite childrens books?

what are yours, or your kids? just looking for ideas as I've bought my daughter all my favs, also hopeing someone will mention one that i've forgotten.

my list is:
where the wild things are
the giving tree
any of Dr. Suess's (the ones he wrote)
any of Shel Silverstein poetry

My daughter's was The Very Hungry Caterpillar. She would read it over and over, and always laugh at the same spots.

How old?
I loved the Shel Silverstein books when I was a kid

Also I think around 3rd grade age, my teacher got us into Roald Dahl books (James and the Giant Peach is a good example)

My g/f is a 1st grade teacher if you want more options I can talk to her.. she LOVES buying books ...

My favorite book as a 1st grader. I checked it out over and over.

Look out for Pirates

and a shot of the cover of it

Uncle Bob is on a distinguished road
When I was very young my mom read to me from a book of Bible
stories writen for children. There as so was a book of short stories
one for each day of the year.

Epidemic is on a distinguished road
Stephen King put out a few nice kids books. You can even get the movies now.

Pet cemetary - A cute story about a family who loses a favorite pet and has to deal with the loss of it. It is a nice educational story.

Christine- A wonderful story of a teenager who restores an old car and learns responsibility, and undying loyalty.

IT - The story about kids who meet a clown.
