What has happened to him? Is/does he actually have a position in Iraq. With all the crap and finger-pointing going on, he is the last one who should have any political power.

Salem Chalabi is a member of the Iraqi Governing Council and is the newly appointed top executive of the court which will be trying the former regime leaders.

The Bushies wanted to install him as the President of Iraq last year but couldn't because so many opposed him.

Chalabi is also a felon - convicted of bank fraud.
