We know Bush doesn't get his information from the newspapers;

he relies on trusted advisers like Condoleeza Rice, Dick Cheney -- and Karl Rove. But you'd think that before deciding to go to war, he'd at least ask his Secretary of State for his opinion:
Quote:
Mr. Bush told Mr. Woodward that he did not ask the secretary's opinion on whether to go to war because he thought he knew what that opinion would be: "no."
"My mind is made up; don't confuse me with facts..."

The topic that surprised and scared me the most was when Woodward discussed Bush's respose to the question of whether he consulted with his father regarding the decision to wage war. His reply was that GB-I was not the appropriate "father" to ask for advice. Instead, he sought guidance from "The Father".
