Sounds like a valve train problem. Being that it does have over 100k, it would be a good idea to take it in and have it checked.

Pull off the valve cover..could be something as simple as a loose adjuster or collapased lifter.

Good chance that one of the hydraulic lifters is bleeding off pressure at lower RPM. Or it could be piston slap, or a variety of other things. I've been driving with a noticeble knock from my engine for the last 20,000 miles and it hasn't gotten worse, and I've only done 1 oil change in that period ( it's about due now I'd say ). If you are worried, have a shop take a look-see.

Yeah I'd say its a valvetrain problem.Lifters tend to make some noise when you get 100k miles on them.
The sooner you have it fixed the cheaper it will be to repair.

need to change that filter though, as a clogged filter can cause low oil pressure issues, and low oil pressure issues will affect the top of the engine a.k.a the valvetrain.
