Actually, i don't think there's much of a precedent for the spouse of the non-incumbant's financial records...
I may be wrong, though. Unless there is reason to believe there was criminal activity, i say we really have no right or business to see them, unless they are offered willingly. It certainly does look good for Bush, though, that he willingly and openly showed his. If Kerry's wife doesn't want to give that benefit of openness, that is her prerogative.
