Hey,

As most of you techimonions know I have a male hamster.

I am thinking of buying another hamster to the same cage as my hamster. I know that you cannot introduce a young male hamster in to an adult hamster's territory aka cage.

So what would happen if I introduce a young female into my hamsters cage. Would they bite eachother like the males?

And I am afraid of them having pups aka small hamsters. Is it hard to take care of the pups? Do you need special supplies for them?

As far as I know I think that if you introduce your hamster to a young female they will reproduce, and I dont know how fast hamsters reproduce, but I think you could end up with many little hamsters, and that will be hard since you will have to take care of them all. Depending on what you are expecting, I suggest you just get that female hamster if you have everything under control, that means if you end up with little hamsters you will know what to do with them, etc.

found out you can only keep them in the same cage during mating time(every 3-4weeks) and then back to different cages
