Undeniably the person involved has some deep mental issues, and to say that his mental health is not an issue becuase he knew what he was doing is nonsense, the fact that he had been fantasising about doing such sick things for years means that he is seriously mentally disturbed.

Also 50yrs for attempted murder is amazing when you consider that people can get out of jail in 25 for murder. It is not only the guy that is messed up but the system for allowing him to get that far (did no-one think to consel him at 15??) and dealing with him as they have done, he needs locked away but in a mental hospital not just a jail.

btw I am not condoning what he did which I agree was sick and wrong but rather what is being done.
