Magic Tricks

anyone know a site online that shows / instructs free magic tricks?

Also someone showed me one today where you draw a shape on a piece of paper, fold it up, initial both sides then write something inside your shape.

The "magician" tears up the paper and tells you what you had written on the paper.

Can anyone assist me in learning the trick of this?

I've done that. I've looked for different results on google, yahoo, mamma and ask jeeves.

I've searched for street magic, mind magic, and even specifics for that trick but I've found nothing.

On that Google search, the Results 1 - 10 of about 716,000 for "magic tricks". Its hard to believe that out of 716,000 hits.. you found nothing.

However, there are extremely few really good magic tricks that is written up. Magicians never allow their good stuff to be exposed to others. Most take their stuff to the grave with them.

There are some general (starting place) books...something that will awe 5 year old kids etc...but when it comes down to holding adults spell-bound, you gotta develop your own.

Good luck.

Yeah, there's some code of ethics that magicians follow. Good luck finding most of the david blaine type stuff.
