what would have happened if Bush acted on the airliners via sidewinder? Bush successfully brings down 4 airliners and no one was killed on the ground based upon a hijack alert. How would that read a year later in the press? All same intel used and so on...

On the lighter side GWB acts on same intel and decides to cripple airline industry. Peoples shoes are removed and they find a few box cutters and 911 never happens but restrictions remain in place. How would that read in the press a year later or 2 years later.

Most aggressive side GWB decides to demand bin laden from afghanastan and gets sucked into a war with iraq. airliners still hit on 911. How does that read in the politics of the new alternate reality. What is kennedy saying what is Kerry saying.

Same scenario but airliner plot foiled behind the scenes.


All in all there was no avoiding 911 in the real world pre 911 world.

People will find negative points on GWB's actions no matter what he does. They won't know how bad something can get until it actually happens.

Republicans and Democrats, conservatives and liberals, these are adversarial organizations. They will almost always seek to destroy each other and will invariably cast aspersions on the actions and deeds of the sitting president if he or maybe someday she sits on the other side of the political aisle.

Here is a question for you: What if Jesus came back and declared he was Republican, do you think Christian Democrats would attack him?
