Condoleezza Rice to speak at MSU commencement

Pretty cool. I'll go.

V.P. Cheney was here a couple years ago. I went and saw out of curiosity more than anything else. Back then, I didn't even give much of a hoot about the Bush Administration. Seeing the secret service guys was probably the highlight. I don't even remember what he said (but that's my nature).

When he was here there were a select few protesters for some reason or another (I don't recall, but they annoyed the hell out of me... I almost had words with them). I expect more of a demonstration for Rice's visit.

Like I said... I'll be there to hear what she has to say.

On a related note... our more *cough* esteemed university to the East will be having David E. Davis Jr., founder of Automobile Magazine as their commencement speaker... Woopty doo =)

We had Milton Friedman when I graduated. I wonder if that guy is still alive? Then we had Chuck Colson (he had served in the Nixon administration) when I graduated from grad school. He was very good.

Good work, Gomer !

And while you are there, look if you can see TeacHIMO Member and Fmr. Pres. Gerald Ford , a famous Michigander.
He should be easy to spot, even in disguise. In fact, he might just "fall in " on you

Don't you just love "college demonstrators", Gomer, how they try to prevent you from seeing, let alone hearing a Speaker?

And why do they try to stop you from knowing what the Speaker's opinions are ?

Academic Freedom is the reason !
