I've spoken with Al several times over the years since his Dr. Demento radio show debut(he's a SoCal local), and he's probably the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet. Nobody can goof on pop music with an accordion like he can. I called a close friend of his who says he is extremely shook up over it and is now home from the Dakotas with family taking care of arrangements.
