Good call, did you happen to see the documentary about him trying to make what would have been his most recent film?

It was called Lost in LaMancha, I believe. It was going to be a telling of Don Quixote, but the production was disasterous.
At one point they were filming and a bunch of the production equipment was swept away in a flash flood.

The finicial backers withdrew support (they technically owned the script), and Gillam has been trying to raise the money to buy it back. I hear he's almost got the money.

At any rate, I'm very much looking forward to the following films:

Afro-punk - info at www.afropunk.com

Coffee and Cigarettes (or Cigarettes and Coffee) - A Jim Jarmusch film featuring Bill Murray, Tom Waits, RZA, GZA and more.

Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter....and Spring A film by self-taught Korean director Kim Ki-Duk

Hey, GeeRaff, welcome to TechIMO!

Yep, anything by Terry Gilliam (Brazil, Baron Von Munschausen, The Fisher King, etc.) Oh, YEAH!

Plus, Tom Waits is one of my idols, I'll go see anything he shows up in (didja catch his mad turn as poor Harker in Coppola's Dracula? OWWWWooooooo!)

It takes a lot to get me into a theater these days. I go for spectacle. Lotsa explosions, scenic stuff, etc. I think "Kill Bill" was my last one. No, it was the third LOTR movie. That was cool. Nice and big and LOUD!

Hey, Knothead, thanks for the welcome.

I wasn't sure about how to introduce myself around here, so I did a search for introduction-type threads and didn't find anything...I figured they're probably frowned upon.

I'm also looking forward to Kill Bill Volume Two, even though I haven't seen the first yet. My girlfriend assures me that it's good stuff.

Thanks again for the welcome.

edit: I forgot to mention that I didn't see Dracula, but I love Tom Waits.
