Add a stressful situation to the poll...like fighting a war, on battlefields where people die daily...when your own life expectancy is measured in hours.
Many people have started smoking under similar circumstances.
Back in the 30's and 40', there was no medical information..no warnings about cancer etc. from smoking..it was the "IN" thing to do.
The reasons some smoke go on, and on, and on...those that begin smoking today (with all of the proven medical reasons not to) deserve exactly what they get.
