Is she too young for me?

I recently began going to this restaurant owned by a mother daughter duo. The daughter is a real sweet heart with a pretty smile. I would like to ask her out for a date but have chickened out because her mom is always nearby.
Plus she is 11 years younger than me. I am 38, she is 27. Do you think the age gap is a big deal?

I don't see a problem. At 27 she is definitely old enough to make a well-informed decision regarding your dating proposition.

Wouldnt seem to matter---now if she were 16 and you were 27, that would be entirely different---try and get to know Mom, couldnt hurt to get to know em both better---keep an eye on your weight tho :-)

I dont see any problems at all with the difference in age. Love is blind My parents have 10 years difference, my dad is 35 and my mother is 45. This situation is probably not the same as yours, but still the age difference is not the most important IMO.

Wow. Thanks. Her mom knows me and seems to like me too. I am cool with the age thing now I am just uncomfortable asking this girl out with her mom standing there.
