need help can u copy copyrighted pc games

I was wondering if you can burn a copy or back-up a copyrighted pc game. just a note that i have nero 5 as my burning software and i also have record now burning software on my pc. if it is possible to do this can some one tell me how to do this step-by-step.
Also i wanted to know if it is possible or how to do this make it play on hard drive with out runing it from the cd-rom drive

Easy: Just take 1 step after the other.

e.g.: after step 2 comes step 3.
