I hate when a guy starts taking to me about computers when they don't know crap. The reason i am bringing this up is that i saw this guy at a computer show and he started to talk to me. After 30 secs of talking my dad came so i was free. But then i noticed that i saw that guy at my local computer store before. He started to talk to me there too. 5 Minutes of crap he talked about. We (me and the other hawkeye) slowly started to walk towards the door. then we left. I think it is because of my age.

You get that everywhere, I've had people tell me that "Decent Programs" will only run on Intel Processors, they should be coded to detect processor types and not run on AMD or any other type.

I also had a guy tell me price performance ratio better for Rambus, and Intel.

I chalk it all up to ignorance, They are sales people. and to sell something you don't have to know it, just spout off it's the best on the market, here's the specs, oh look, high number, that's good........

Some guy started yapping to me at a computer store too, on and on aboug how this computer store had good prices.. and sold good stuff not crap etc...

I moved down the line and he stayed.. and started talking to soem other dude... LOL that guy was clearly disinterested in talking to him.. lol

We have a guy that advertizes himself as 'The C*****er G**u' (I don't know if it is proper to name his company) around here. So one day I was at a local resale shop and he was trying to baffle with bull, the poor guy that asked him about his computer. I moved closer and after listening to him for a few minutes I decided to ask him a question. I asked him if he could check my computer with a POST card and he had no idea what I was talking about. This is a guy that charges people to work on computers and not only doesn't he own one, he has never heard of one. He gives computer tech's a bad name.

Yeah that Pro job is sweet. Nobody gets it out of the case without an armed guard. It does quite a bit more than mine but I question whether we really need it or not. It does come in handy on the MPC boards though.

EDIT: I had no idea that TechIMO was selling stuff like that. COOL It is cheaper too.

With me it's usually the other way round, people start to talk to me about computers and after about 15 minutes when it starts to get techinical they've lost me
