AAAhhhhh! I'm burning!!!

Well, I'm normally very easily tanned. Never had a blister from a sunburn and I can count on two fingers the number of times I've peeled more than a couple flecks.

This time, though, is a different story. Thre days looking into the sun on top of a pile of creosote ties from just after sunup to nearly sundown. I'm on fire. Never had this horrible feeling, so now I can empathize with you albino-types

Any home remedies? My face and lips are the worst since I literally looked into the sun all three days.

Any home remedies?
Would tylenol help ease it?
An ice-bath? (not that desperate)

Toothpaste on the burns or fresh Aloe Vera, like break off a leaf from the plant and squeeze the goop directly on the affected area.

Get one of those goofy hats with the unbrella attached to it! And use that un-manly sun blocker.

Asprin, cool showers, and time...

Ibuprofen will help with the pain plus it's anti-inflammatory.

White vinegar will help when applied directly to the skin. Doesn't smell so great, but helps. Or a bath with a bottle of white vinegar dumped in can help too. Don't take an "ice-bath", just cool water. Besides even warm water is going to feel cool to you because your skin is warm.

A cool shower and some ibuprofen has numbed the pain We had some lotion w/ a bit of aloe vera and theat may have helped too. I checked to see if it had lanolin since God's Unicorn's post suggested it was not good for it and it didn't. Thanks for all the help!

Was it just today that you got burned? If so, you ain't seen the worst of it yet. Give it a little more time. I'm experienced with sunburns.

Argh, I hope you're wrong. I was sitting here feeling all smug about how I defeated a sunburn.

I can recommend the "True Blue Spa" line of lotions from "Bath and Body Works". They are shea butter based and are great for healing the skin.

Will try to get Angelcat to this post later, she had horrendous sun burn back when we first met. Can't remember the cures she used back then, but she probably will.
