hmm... We've "won" two wars? That's definintely a matter of opinion, depending on who you are talking to. Iraq is falling apart, and Muslim/Al Qaida rebels and warlords are slowly picking things up in Afghanistan. That's where Americans should be focusing, not in Iraq.

"Immobilized Osama bin Laden, destroyed al-Qaida's base" If we 'immobilized' bin Laden and Al-Qaida, why isn't he in U.S. custody? Also, why are Al-Qaida picking up steam? Another silly question, why are they able to commit terror attacks in other countries, and still hold Americans in fear of another terror attack in America?

"And begun to create the only functioning democracy in the Middle East other than Israel." Israel is a democracy? That's even worse then calling the United States a true democracy! Israel is clearly a wonderful country.

If we are setting up plans for Iraq to be a "free" democracy, oh, wait, Israel is still a democracy, then why don't we have a clear and [/b]respectable[/b] timeline laid down?

I'll be waiting for Ms. Coulter to show proof that America is such a safer place since we took out Iraq, especially since they had WMD's. Oh, wait, they had intent on getting WMD's.

Just what solutions do you have? Either the strong presidents defend US interests or the UN does. I take my chances with our own presidents, assuming they are willing to defend the country's interests. That was the point of the article.

Well, she thinks Joseph McCarthy was a true American hero, so yeah, in my book, she's a fruitcake. But as to the article, for all the times she wrote "and Clinton did nothing," I'd suggest reading Richard Clarke's account of exactly what Pres. Clinton did and didn't do, and why. Her claims in that regard are simplistic and, in most cases, flat-out wrong.

Communism in the '50s was seen as a real threat to the country. As as usual, Hollywood was one of the prime threat spots due to the movie industry. Control the media and you control minds...In retrospect, maybe they won in many ways.

She presents the chronology and what happened. I'm sure every failure of Clinton has an apologist. The facts are clear: the terrorists thought they had enough evidence to believe we would not fight back.
