Initially, the administration said an invasion was necessary to find and destroy weapons of mass destruction that Iraq possessed and was prepared to use. With none uncovered, the White House now says the war, in which more than 500 U.S. troops and thousands of Iraqis have died, was justified by Saddam's alleged intent to build and use such weaponry.

"The hunt will go on until we're able to draw a firm and confident picture of what the programs were and where the regime was headed with respect to them. But we're looking at it from soup to nuts -- from the weapons end to the planning end and to the intentions end," he said.

Another example of the back peddling and shear propraganda the administration is spewing . I'm surprised that Saddam wasn't trying get us with AIDs. It's like the " Never ending story" just changes from day to day to suit the author. And we're supposed to beleive every word. I hope the common folk, the everyday citizen can see through these smoke screens and come to the same conclusion that I have. Bush, Chenny, Rice and all their corruption HAS got to go. I'm no lover of the alternative but I've had enough of the present gang. Check your gas bill lately ?????
Go to your state website and see which federally funded programs are being cut so your state, city and real estate taxes will be run up taking whatever compensation you may have received at work go up in smoke. And it's only going to get worse.

P.S.....My real Estate taxex went from $650.00 to $ 850.00 in one year. Like 130 %

Unfortunately, the polls show that common folk are deaf, dumb, blind, and/or don't give a damn

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq...will continue despite the failure so far to find them but the mission will also investigate whether Saddam Hussein...intended to develop such weapons, the chief U.S. arms hunter said on Tuesday.
I think this shift in focus is merely a continued attempt to paint Iraq as a clear danger to other nations, justifying the illegal invasion of Iraq and the overthrow of Saddam Hussein. This shows that the U.S. administration has finally come to the conclusion that Iraq didn't possess nuclear, biological or chemical weapons. As a result, they are now trying to find evidence that there was the "intent" to develop such weapons. In otherwords, they're trying to justify their actions after the fact.

This is just another step in the goose-hunt for a reason justifying the Iraqi invasion. And IMO, it's failing miserably.
