I ordinarily would not post a rumor,
but Ana Marie Cox (who writes a Washington political gossip blog called Wonkette, and who, in an earlier incarnation, was "Polly Esther" at the now-defunct Suck) says the following: Quote:
We have it on semi-reliable authority that the Bush administration's next attempt to discount Richard Clarke's credibility will consist of alleging that he's a big gay. We have a little trouble figuring out how being gay makes you unable to assess threats to a country's national security -- after all, we trust them to tell us what to wear. Still, it is a great strategy.
That is, as long as you don't believe there any other homosexuals on the Bush national security team.
| The fact that Wonkette has it on "semi-reliable authority" means that the rumor is already circulating, whoever started it. And true or not, it's hard to imagine it being started by any of Clarke's supporters.
If it does emanate from the Bush camp, that's a pretty disgusting maneuver, and suggestive of desperation.

"Biased" is a matter of opinion. "Questionable" -- well, you're questioning it, so I suppose so, but that's one area where you can resolve the problem by going to the facts. "Inflammatory" -- well, only to the easily inflamed, many of whom are notorious flamers themselves. "Innuendo," no -- I'll say something directly, rather than imply it sleazily. "Propaganda?" Nonsense; I don't represent anyone but myself.
I'll grant "argumentative" and "etc."

Theo endeavors to put up stuff which, in the tradition of Rebelais, Swift, and Twain, gets us to wondering, and thinking, and considering, and maybe even rejecting; but always, the question never fails to materialize in our collective heads: "Where in the world does he FIND this stuff?" |

I normally wouldn't post a rumor, but I have it on good authority that Theo often wrestles with pigs.
Don't bother to deny it, Theo. I've caught you doing it time and again (usually on my way out of the sty.)

I agree with theo.
He will never post a link that he feels degrades the liberal postion unless it is completely proven. |

I always enjoy Theo’s post regardless of the fact that they often remind of watching scrabbled cable TV during the seventies. The picture was always skewed, bent, angled hard to the left.
Warmest Regards,
