What do all of you people {THAT SEEN IT} think about Mel Gibson's movie???... I thought it was really good. Please post.

Well.....I'm extremely non-religous, and will have no part in any faith for as long as I can see. I saw the movie anyways, expecting people that are hardcore church go-ers to get really emotional (and they did), but that's their decision.

As for a movie, it was pretty gory, but I guess that was the point of it.

I am not a religious person either but I thought it was a pretty good movie beside's the whole religious thing's in the movie. And as for the gore in the movie... I've seen worse but it was gory none the less.

It was good for what it was I guess...it was just trying to show that last day in greater detail...and of course they took a fe wliberties..as also is the case with every other jesus movie ever made.

Basically I think Mel just wanted to give a closer idea of what he actually went thru....as opposed to the quaint little paintings hanging in all the churches of some blond haired guy with one little trickle of blood, lol.

Evan with the gore of the flick..it still didnt capture the truth of what a crucifixion is...for one thing the movie itself was not long enough...some crucifixions lasted for days..with the guy hanging on barely to his excruciating existence.

For a good companion movie to fill in some of the blanks as far as the rest of his life, his birth etc....for example some of the reasons why they wanted him dead..see---> "Jesus of Nazareth"..the 1977 movie.

I saw it, and it made me feel sick. My wife cried, and so did many other ladies in the row I was sitting in.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but did Gibson say that 'the last day of christ is an adventure'? I agree with that, every boy dreams of the adventure he allegedly went through...

I didn't see the point of the movie though, was it to show the true agony he supposedly suffered for the sins of everyone? If so, point accepted...

I usually watch movies for entertainment, this certainly isn't entertainment. It didn't get me thinking about stuff either (I'm not religious), other than people are still like the mob there...
Everyone raves about democracy and the freedom of mind, and yet most of the people are sheep waiting for the wolf to tell them what to do...

True like in the sense that it was a movie, scripted and then produced on celluloid, and shown in theatres...or "true" like in the sense that Leprechauns and Invisible Pink Unicorns are "true"?
