I need to buy a tuxedo for a black-tie business event. Renting it isn't an option because I'll need it for three days and I think I'll use it a couple of other times in the next few years.
I know nothing about Tuxedos. I don't want to spend too much (around $300,) if one could be had for that of decent quality.
Any buying advice? Where to find good deals? Are the rental stores a good place to also buy?
Contrary to what you might think, tuxes are cheaper than suits. Just go to Mens' Wearhouse. You can definitely get a good classic tux for $300, and probably less (although my experience is about 7 years ago).
Mens Warehouse is a good choice, I have bought approx 5 -6 shirt and ties there over the past two years and had very professional and helpful, (not to mention cute) young ladies that have helped me.
