It'd be nice not to have anything to bash about.
However, its just not possible at this time.
Start a topic on OS's OUTSIDE of usability and you can nail 'em to the wall on nearly anything.
I admit they're getting more stable, but really... thats about it. Oh and they're getting prettier lol

If I tell an unsavory truth or express and unfavorable opinion about someone or something that someone else likes (or is otherwise attached to) then to the other person it is "bashing."
How about expressing one's opinion based on a preponderance of evidence or the interpretation of evidence (so-called), as one sees it?
Surely we do not accept lightly the intimate intrusion into our personal lives by any government agency or private company, in contrast, we question their roll -and rightly so.
I hope I am never so sold-out, intimidated, or otherwise apathetic that I do not question the most pervasive influences of our time.
As for those that claim some alternative operating systems have become a kind of "religion" to their advocates -perhaps there is some truth to that; it is a "cause" at very least. For example, some opensource programmers have their heart and soul wrapped up in the endless hours, days, weeks, months, and even years of coding, debugging, and endless reboots to bring their work to fruition -most often for little or no pay.
If it doesn't get personal I say "bashing" with explanation is a good thing -on all sides.

| Ok, here is my take on it.....
What is this forum site's name?
Tech IMO
IMO....
In My Opinion!
Pardon the cliche, but Opinions are like butts, everyone has one. THAT is the exact point.
OPINION
CMonster, you hit the nail on the head with the line I quoted. Sure, we all fight over OS's, Systems (Intel or Mac), and EVERY other thing under the sun.
There is nothing weak about accepting someone else's opinion. You don't have to agree with it, just accept that their opinion came from their OWN evaluation of the situation. That is how we can grow as people. To call things "bashing" is expressing your opinion of someone else's opinion. Is that any more right or wrong than the original "bash"?
This is of course just IM(H)O

Poor Germ... As soon as Bill takes the world over he'll send his MIB and get all the people in his book of annoying people (people who have made fun of MS, Linux users, and Mac addicts) and send them to the salt mines. Sadly that won't leave many people on the earth.
I plan to be on their good side when the thermal paste hits the bridges.
I LOVE MICRO$OFT...er...Soft |
