Well, if you're confused, this didn't seem to be a problem for Republicans only two and a half months ago.

Probably the same as most people who have minds of their own.

On the other hand, using Scripture to blast eachother doesn't surprise me all that much. I'm surprised it took this long for it to be a big deal. Nothing is sacred anymore. And the Bush ticket is just crabby because Kerry got to use their own oil against them.

At least he tried not to butcher a Bibilical passage. James 2:14 is very similar to below:

"For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? For what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His father with the holy angels." (Mark 8:36-38).

How appropriate. But if an ass(donkey) can speak in the Old Testament I guess anything's possible.
