PAIN IN JAW IS NOTHING TO IGNORE.
The primary nerve that ennervates the Jaw is the
Trigeminal nerve.
It is a
cranial nerve, which means it comes out of the brain, not from the spinal cord.
It goes down into the first two Vertebrae of the Cervical spine and cimes up to the Jaw and the back brain, and scalp.
Irritation on any point in its circuit can cause
Trigeminal Neuralgia. This is sort of like 16 crazed Dentists drilling the nerves of each tooth with no anathesia. I think a Horror movie could be made called ..."16 Crazed Dentists"
The medicine for it --i recallis something you'd rather not take.
Now the
Trigeminal nerve is believed to be the proxiomal cause for
Migraine.
Migraine is treated with drugs called
Tryptans which quiet the nerve if taken in time. Sometimes.
Pain in Jaw can also be a sign of
Nocternal Bruxism , which is too dificult to think about, let alone describe.
It can also be a sign of a CORONARY event.

Remember that pain in Jaw is no Joke !
Another reason to see your Dentist regularly.
Only you can prevent Trigeminal Neuralgia.
