haha thats good OP. Kinda sad to see taxes going towards if we should make it unlawful for body pierciings when the human race has been doing it since the begining of time. Laws like this make no sense what so ever and do nothing but make the government look like a bunch of morons. How do they plan on enforcing this? I swear sometimes that common sense for the American Government is non existant.

You have to admit samwichse that you get some right cranks in Sourthern US, i'd always thought they were religious crack-pots.

Yeah, and you get some right cranks in California too. And in New York. And Utah. And Nevada. But I hardly see a blanket statement like "the south is an embarrassment to us all" or having an entire region of the country be called "dumb" for the actions of a few people.

OP, have you've been to the south?, are you familiar with the cultural differences in across the United States, are you just repeating the stereotypes that you've heard, because I've heard a few unflattering things about the UK as well.

There is obviously more to this story than is being reported in that short Yahoo news article. There is no way this legislation as described in the article would pass "160-0 with no debate"

I'm going to speculate that this bill is to prevent the non-complicit mutilation of females and someone has construed it as an outright ban of all genital piercing.
