I may have posted this before, but:
I know a lot of people are annoyed by having to register for the
New York Times in order to read pieces there. Also, after two weeks,
Times articles can only be read by paying for them.
But there's a partial solution: a
link generator. It creates permalinks that neither require registration nor payment to read.
It doesn't work for every article; it sometimes fails for mysterious reasons. But I've been using it to post links to the
Times so people don't have to put up with this nonsense.
Too bad the
Washington Post doesn't have one, especially now that it, too, requires registration. But at least their existing links don't rot...
