Well, the day has arrived, and myself and Mrs.desmocat are about to start our loooooooooong series of planerides to get there.

Give yourselves plenty of time at LAX (like 3 hours ) with these new security measures. Sounds like a cool trip, I'd probably have a hard time leaving Fiji for a week, or two, or....

Thanks for the tip socal Our domestic flight gets to LAX at about 6:45 pm and our flight out doesn't leave till11:00pm so I hope we have a good enough cushion.
We are staying over in Fiji for 3 days coming back, so we will have some time to play in the nice warm water before coming back to winter..
Ive made a few trips thru the South Pacific, once you get that far its like---"hey were here lets goto New Zealand too" and then it starts---Tasmania, Tahiti, Fijis close why not? Never been to Tonga may as well go now, heard alot about Micronesia LETS GO! Jakarta Indonesia yeah NOW, ooops back to Tahiti---forgot to visit Bora Bora, Moorea and Raiatea hmmm werent we only supposed to be gone a month??? Can we stop at Christmas Isl, Samoa and Hawaii on the way back???"-----eventually you forget about your home in the US and just stay somewhere that you can run around naked in the sun eat fish and drink Heineken from a can.
