Drying quitting, suggestions?

My dryer will be visiting the dryer graveyard soon. I was wondering what your suggestions on a dryer were and why?
Need items in the dryer,
AC
Large Capacity
Dependable
Easy to use.

I have been looking at the Maytag Neptune model?

Take my opinion for what it is (I work for a company developing laundry detergents and additives) the Neptunes are quite over-priced for what they are. I would reccomend Maytag, Whirlpool, or Kenmore (same as a Whirlpool just rebadged). Actually, if you can live without a fully featured dryer and want to save money, Roper isn't a bad brand either (Whirlpool's discount brand). Stay away from Speedqueen, GE, etc. They are much more cheaply constructed. Oh yeah, just FYI for everybody who may be interested, I also recommend staying away from any of the water conserving washers in the US, i.e. front loaders.

I'm curious why the recommendation against the front-loaders. I have a Neptune, and while it may well be over-priced, I love it! Front-loaders use less water and detergent, and are gentler on clothing. So what's wrong with them? Besides, for techno-geeks, the Neptune with all the touchpad programming is just too cool!

Oh they are cool, but picture this, you have x amount of soil on your clothing and y amount of water. When you wash your cloths the soil gets suspended in the water. As the amount of water decreases (front loading and water saving washers) and the amount of soil stays the same the concentration of soil in the wash liqour gets higher and higher. This can and does cause soil redeposition problems. Redeposition is when the soil falls out of solution because the concentration is too great and falls back onto your clothing. We have done many tests in the lab and the larger old style washers which use much more water clean better. This redeposition problem gets even greater if you use certain personal care products such as mousse, hair gel, liquid hand soap, etc. When these get on your clothing they leave a compond behind called polyquat. Polyquat is a soil sucking compound and can leave permanent dark "dingy" spots on your clothing.

Whew...

"Sorry about the thread crap.... can you forgive me?" I will have to think about that! The jury will be out until I get a new dryer.
Been looking at the wirlpool mn GEQ9800LW and the Maytag MN HYE3460ayw. I noticed one thing is that the Maytag has a longer warranty on all their units that I looked at ( shopping at Bestbuy online).
