Ever lost your wallet???

Scan or photocopy all the stuff in your wallet---(not the 100's silly) do both sides of your license, credit cards, SSI card, phone contacts, all personal related info etc, you will know what you had in your wallet and have all of the account numbers and phone numbers to call and cancel if you need to...
Now keep that photocopy in a safe place, how simple is that?
:-)

I can hear it now (I would do it!)

"Where'd I put those copies of my information?"
"I dont know you said you would put them in a place you know you could find them"
"DOH!"

ER yes and No, but Have done this.............

Just a 2 days ago matter of fact. Have had so much on my mind of late and drove up to the drive up ATM of my bank. withdrew 20 cash to put gas in my rig...well all was going fine and snag my 20 out of the machine stuck it in my wallet and drove off.................ok so what is wrong? well 4 hours later grocery shopping I opened up my wallet to pay for my food with a different card I have and I always keep the main back card up front pocket. Well shoot where is my bank card? holy cow! I can't belive I did that!!!!! Cripes!!!!!!!!!! so paid for my food with other card and drove straight to the bank and went in bank with my son and told them what happened.

I had driven off with my 20 bucks minus my bank card and I hadn't finished the transaction. So if someone had driven up right behind me they would have been able to withdraw all my meager balance left. So the bank check my account and only saw the one with drawl i had. She offered to connect me with thier customer service on the bank that handles the drive through ATM cause bank don't have access to the outside drive up ones. I said i could do that and do you have a TTY? Ugh what is a TTY? Oh never mind I will call at home and can you give me the number and she did. so we Zoomed home and i hurry up call them and they saw only one charge which was mine. and cancled the card adn sending me a new one.

hows that for loosing "wallet" er bank card.

Well that is only the short of whats this week has been like. I am just thankful the machine "ate" my card instead of someone getting it. So I am happy with the end results.

Been one of those week.

Hey, did you think of going around back to where the ATM was and seeing if it was still there? Maybe nobody had gone to the ATM since you had been gone.... Slim chance but a chance never the less.

Wow Neo! That's crazy!! I haven't forgotten my ATM card but I am paranoid so after I am done I check and check again, and when I lock the door of my car I always make sure that I have my keys and I also carry a spare key on me.

Speed, yes i thought about that but it was 4 hours after the fact and I had not finished the transaction, you a certain amount of time to push the button or it will eat your card. that is what the bank told me.

One other time way back when i was 21, i had 2500 in cash on me, went to a restruant and ate dinner and left. Needed my cash a short while later and relized it was gone. and went back to the resturant and found it in the same place but tucked behind the cusion of the bench. Was really happy to find that. I have lost things of value many times. Fortunalty i don't carry cash like that on me anymore. LOL

have lost too many purses to count so now i don't use a purse. i use a man's fold style leather wallet now and just keep it in my pocket. hate purses now. don't see how those other women can walk around with those things swinging and banging thier sides.
