I heard from a studen that everything from 80 - 100% is considered an A though. That might be institution specific though. I know UofT graded on a really harsh curve where the professors weren't allowed to give better than an 80% unless it was a spectacular paper or something. Or so I was told by a student.

thanks for the replys..

My girlfriend's sister is studying in canada, and she said her grades were based out of 80%... we can't understand that, that's why I asked the question...

===================================

I have another question... how are the grades calculated..

80% - 100% = A
60% - 80% = B
40% - 60% = C

???

Thanks

heh... sounds like she got a poor grade and is trying to get out of it

YA! 75% is a A+ !!

The typical grading system is
>=90 - A
>=80 & < 90 - B
>=70 & < 80 - C
>= 60 & < 70 - D
< 60 - F
