Outdoors UPS $uck$ !!!

/RANT ON/
I just checked the status on an order I made last week.

Now, UPS says that the item will not be delivered until Friday (01/18). I noticed on the "Details" of my order, it has been sitting a the same location since 01/15. It's only 150 miles from where I live. But, because it was shipped as ground, it will sit there until Friday.

Another thing, UPS will not leave packages on my deck like I have requested them to many times. I live in an apartment complex, but they are all separted. Each has it's own address. They insist that they cannot leave it there because it's an apartment complex. They instead, take it to the main office. Which happens to close at 4:30pm... I don't get home until 5:00pm! I have even called UPS and told them not to leave it there, I have called the office and told them not to sign for anything for me...falls upon deaf ears.

On the other hand, FedEx and Airborne Express have no problems leaving my packages on my deck. They told me they will leave it anywhere I request.

I'm almost tempted to just say I don't get what they ship.

/RANT OFF/

Thanks to those that care/read this.

funny... i've never had issues with them. they leave stuff for me and my mom all the time and they're actually quite good around here. it also helps that i have a service center five minutes from my house, which is also a bonus.

They drive me nutz, too. I have a machine coming, supposed to be here Friday, and I'm crossing my eyes, fingers, knees and toes that it shows up OK. They've wrecked more than one, and forget trying to collect on insurance..

I won't tell you that they are the worst - or best - where I get stuff dropped off is a country store - near the border.

everyone for 60 miles gets stuff dropped into that little room. Funny as heck to sort through the boxes to find your stuff, I did loose one in there four about three months - until the shop owner called me about it.

wiz

call the supervisor - and ask for his/her help in sorting out a little problem and then let him/ her be the big person that fixed yuor problem. works for me more than once!

We had some problems with UPS in hte past as well.
My wife had some bridesmaids dresses shipped to us, and my family was coming into town for a visit and we were hoping to give my niece and sis in law their dresses.
Well because UPS screwed up we ended up having to ship to Michigan

They were supposed to ship them to JCPenny's warehouse. Well UPS guy said there wasn't anybody at the JCPenny warehouse or at the front door at noon.

WHAT?!?!?!
Chances are not.
Besides we talked to the lady that works at the catalog area in the front, and she was there during that time.

Thinking the UPS guy was at the bar gettin' drunk or something

what do you expect when you pay ground?? i never ever pay for ground after what happened to me

plus UPS does not leave boxs depending on where you at by apartments so they will not be liable for you not getting the box. i rather go pick up the box than call the business or UPS and ask where my box is when it was stolen. less heart ache

my dad used to work for UPS. 20 years. from what he has told me is UPS doesnt care anymore about the residential customer. all they care about is the comercial/corporate cuatomer. when he was driving a package car he would go out of his way to help out the customer. but that was about 15 years ago and times have changed . i feel sorry for the UPS man now cause they sre running those guys into the ground.

The last thing I got from them was my Duron 700Mhz. It came in a crushed box, with a slightly torn side, plus it took over a week to get to me, and cost an amazing amount! The rest of my computer parts I've gotten via fedex. They usually get the parts to me within 3 days no matter how far away the company is, plus it's a lot cheaper!
