Btw club what are you using to find wireless networks?

Kismet? Airnsort? Netstumbler? or the software that comes with the network card?

Not all these hotspots are free, we found lots of morons with open unencrypted networks and surfed using their networks.

we're scanning using IBM Aaccess, comes with the thinkpad.

this is sweet, we have some photos will upload them when i get back home, forgot digicam link :P

I just got my new wireless G card yesterday. As soon as I plugged it in, I was automatically logged onto a network at 54mb called "Linksys" and I have an 11mb D-Link router. Turns out, it's the gas station across the street

I am friends with the owners so I am going over there tomorrow to change the default password and enable MAC filtering for them. Will probably fill my tank while I'm there too

alright guys....have a question about Wardriving.

I know that once you login into a Wireless network you leave like watermarks. It leaves like a message saying who logged in and the mac address and everything.
It is also possible to leave a message saying "You should protect your Wireless Network blah blah..."?

Is it possible to do that?
