Do "Teacher Unions" Terrorize ?

Sec. of Ed. Rod Paige drew fire fore his intemperate remarke,(IMO), that the NationalOrganization of Teachers is "terorist"

But I can attest to how the other major Teacher Organization, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) seeks to keep both Union Members, Teachers --and Politicians --in fear.

Visit the National Association for the Prevention of Teacher Abuse (NAPTA) for more info. Or visit www.endteacherabuse.info/unionnot.html
for how one Teacher group views their own experiences with so-called "teacher unions". Actually, often cash-cows for a cabal in collusion with Educrats --and aganst Taxpayers, against Parents, against Teachers --and Against Children.

"Teachers Want What Children Need", early motto of NYC United Federation of Teachers (UFT), AFT Affiliate

"Teachers Want What the "Union" Says They Want", current situation in NYC.

This is just another case of "shut up sit down I will tell you what to think and if you disagree with me you are a terorist."

That way of thinking is starting to wear a littke thin as more and more people see that their thoughts are being branded as terrorist.

Next it is going to be if you don't register republican you are a terrorist, then you have to join a fundamentalist church or you are a terrorist. where is it going to end?

Paiges remarks, that is his bizarre choice of words, may in fact cause him his job as he has so blatently done largely that.

But this cannot obscure the daily fear many a Teacher harbor for their own "union". All poltics is local , they say. If that's so, then one-party systems may be as prevalent elsewhere --judging by the National Association for the Preventon of Techer Abuse website , and the widespread complaints that Teacher "Unions" were either in collusion with Educrats --or downright instigators of their actions.

In many localities, teachers have a poor reputation, and this play right into the hands of the Union/School Board missaliance, as they are able to keep Teachers in fear that if they cross the "union", they will have no protection at all.

This is just a variation of the old "protection" racket, and benefits no one --except the crew on School board HQ's and their pals across the street.

There is an illusion that Teacher Unions "protect anybody", fostered in part by publicaly defending alleged or actual pedophiles -- while good Teachers are abandoned by their Organizations.

The real issue, hence, goes well beyond Secretary Paige's bizarre choice of words.

Hard to believe any terrorist organization could do more to harm to American education than the NEA.

But if we fired everybody who called someone a terrorist, there would be nobody left to run the government. Kerry has called Republicans "terrorists".

But I think Ron Paige will survive.

the question , "Can American Public Education survive ?"
And should it, in its present sorry state ?

Oddly, Teachers, Students, and Parents have a Common Interest.

On the Other Side stands the Educrat/Teacher Organizations.

let me give you a concrete example: In New York City, we have an American federation of Teachers (AFT, AFL/CIO) affiliate, the United Federation of Teachers (UFT).

The UFT is big enough, to be able to foster it own President as AFT President:

Albet Shanker went from UFT Prez to AFT Prez, just in time to appont Sandy Feldman the "elected" UFT Prez, who went on to become AFT Prez, just in time to appoint Randi Weingarten UFT Pres --for Life.

Now Ms. W. must have a tremendous background in Education, right?
Nah !
Well, a tremendous experience at least as a trade unionist, right ?
Nah !

Actually, she was a young Corperative Lawyer from a 4th tier-law school when she was eleveted to Elected-for-lifehood Education "union" leader and Heir Apparent to National Presidency of AFT.

Odd that the National Association for the Prevention of Teacher Abuse www.endteacherabuse.org should focus on Educrats/ "Union" Missalliance (or "gang") to cite for Teacher Abuse --Not Parents, not Students.

Check out you local politicians ("All Politics is Local").
Are they actually --in Both word And Deed --willing to tackle this Cabal ?

From the article:
Quote:
To have [teachers] called something like that, I believe, is intolerable," he said.
Paige didn't call the teachers terrorists; he called their union's that.
Do these people really think we're that stupid?
This isn't even spin, it's just playing people for dummies.
And worse we have an ever-waiting media that throws out half-baked sound bites like this without presenting the whole picture, and they can honestly call themselves 'journalists.????
Half the people will hear the sound bite and actually think Paige called teachers terrorists; now that is lemming mind control.

Teachers are more the terrorized than terrorists, IMO. Given the parental concern of the majority of public school parents, I can well understand the life expectancy of a teacher is 4-5 years. Last year 50% of the seniors in high school in NYC failed to graduate !! These kids don't want to learn. They'd rather get high or drunk, hang out in the hood and wind up a cancer that society has to deal with. And it gets worse every day. When I was in school, it you caused a problem, the good Sisters of Charity would block your head with a ruler or pointer, all with the pareants aprroval. Then when you got home with a note that had to be signed by your father , you got it again. Without penalties and punishment, things will only deteriorate and control over the populous will surely fad away..Look at the illegal alien situation. Want a million or two more leches on our tax base that eat our food, use up our medical resourses, get in college, FREE, ahead our natural born. This election is going to be the most important decision for all of us. Basicallt, I don't like ANY of the candidates. But after seeing the destruction and eroding of the basic structure of our way of life, I believe we need a change in Washinton and in the state levels as well. And now with the acceleration of the sanctity of marraige and all the values that this institution stands for. we are increasing the rate of demise into depths from which I thought we had arose. Hoping that the words that symbilize our country, will stand and dmean what they have for years to come.." In Go We Trust"

The sad fact is that these very same unions are responsible to a large degree for the appalling state of our school systems. And now the Democrats are trying to shield their by-product (dismal school performance) from the enactment of some serious reform. One of the current leftist anti-Bush war cries is: 'No Child Left Behind' is bad. (It's bad because it makes them accountable for their dismal performance.) Worse, is watch all the hard-core lefties jump on board and stop this seriously needed reform.
Will the left ever do what they say? The teachers and other big unions have them by their privates, but it’s our children who suffer. That's disgusting!!!

"Our unions are powerful corporate institutions that have the ability to impact education. They have the power to force change. Instead, they maintain status quo. Why? Unions lobby against vouchers, school choice, and home schooling knowing that these alternative choices might force accountability on the education monopoly now in place and break down the administrators' ability to conduct power trips against teachers using tax payers' monies.

If unions were authentically behind teachers, the source of their corporate power, why would they want to maintain the monopoly and its system of abusing teachers? [Teachers]...................... believing they are being protected when in truth the money serves to enslave them. As you read the examples below, you will see that unions are desperately seeking a cover up, using aggressive means to assure they prevail. Ask yourself why. "

That pretty much sums up the NEAs modus operandi.
