IMO we will be seeing mainstream medicine turn away from use of antibiotic medications as we currently use them, and look for alternative treatments. Maggots are already being used in healthcare, but only in a small way, along with leeches, and other more traditional herbal treatments.

In ten years (maybe less) we will be reserving antibiotics for a select few things, instead of taking them for every cold and pain as we do now.

Cheers
Mick

Too many antibiotics make you body produce LESS anti bodys naturally. I avoid them at all costs till absolute nesecary. Thats the reason! I rarely get sick too. While friends of mine that are pill crazy are almost alwyas sick. Hmm wonder why? I figure if you tell your body it doesnt need to make that anymore-its slows or stops doing it naturally. Course I have a condition that makes too many white blood cells. Wish someone could tell that to stop! While I do heal quick (cuts etc)-there are other not so nice effects of it.

Me, being anti-biotic allergic might have to embrace this type of thing some time :-(
