Hey, looks like those break-away hoses really work! Always wondered about that. Better than dragging the whole dang pump down the street.

Speaking of fun things to do with gas pumps, my son and I were watching one of these live action cop shows (World's Funniest Life and Death Police Chases or something), and this high speed chase ends when the cop (you guessed it, a man) RAMMED the bad guy car into a gas pump!! The pump catches fire and pretty much the whole gas station is on fire. Everybody runs to get away and the bad guy escapes!! Very funny.

Hmmm...... That happened once, back when I worked at a gas station. Only it wasn't the woman driver's fault. It was the guy tending the full service pump that was too busy flirting with the good looking blond in the car, and forgot to remove the hose when he was done pumping.

Wart... Having worked at a service station for two years I know for a fact it isn't limited to the female drivers. I have also seen what happens when the pumps lack the quick disconnects. They'll drive off with a pump and not even realize it.

I guess I would notice it in my 120hp car.... it would barely move... let alone rip the pump away... lol
