Need advice about defunct company that stole my money.

Last January, I ordered a couple of racing seats from Speedpeople.com. It cost over $1000...

Problem started from there though. I`m in the military, and even after being lied to that the stuff was sent, I called and called, and after not recieving em` fro a couple of months, they eventually changed their story to say that they couldn`t ship to my address. (It`s and FPO AP) via UPS. No big deal, since I asked for my refund then. They agreed, and said it would be processed in a timely manner. A couple of months went by, I got deployed so couldn`t check up on it, and still didn`t get my refund. I called again, and got THE SAME ANSWER as the first time!!! -They apologized, and said that it would be taken care of... A month later with no refund, I called again... SAME ANSWER AGAIN!...

It`s now over a year later, and I`m REALLY mad about it.

Any1 have any suggestions on where I should go to get this resolved? I feel like suing them for a crapload of cash, but since I`m in the military, there`s no guarantee that I could take leave and attend the trial.

What can I do?

I found their 800 number on the internet. I am going to call them nd ask why they won't refund your money.

Rather speak to someone? Call us toll free @
1-800-273-6915


Just in case you don't have it.
I just might call several times a day until you get a refund, after all they pay for each call.

You guys are great. Thanks for the help. I tried to call them a few times though... One time, they kinda' made it sound like it was my fault that the money didn't get returned. I told them, that even IF there WAS a problem with re-posting the money to my credit card, that they could mail me a check.

BUT they just said that it would get "Taken Care Of."

-Might try the BBB, like Jokostel suggested. Any1 know where to start?

Do you think it would help to call the police Fraud unit in their city and file a complaint? Might get some attention and action.
