Building 1st Computer - Help please!!

I have been told you need to run the computer to burn in and test it. Can anyone tell me how long I run it and is there anything else I do besides letting it run?

you will want to have it run a program in a loop so that the cpu is at full load for 24-72 hours . sisoftware sandra burn in or 3dmark2001se . even find a drug , it also will use 100% of the cpu plus it helps find a cure for cancer and other things .
