if you go the intel rout buy the asus p4p800 deluxe or P4pc800 deluxe from asus they support current p4 and the new and comming prescot processors. i have the p4p800 deluxe it is great mother board has every thing

you can't put computer and future proof in the same sentence . it has to be against somkinda law somewhere i am sure .

From way back in 1965 Gordon Moore, one of the founders of Intel came up with Moore's Law
http://www.intel.com/research/silicon/mooreslaw.htm
His prediction has held basically true, that processor speeds will double every 12-18 months. Doesn't leave much room for "future-proof".
