. If these don't work for you, you could always try the 35c or 50c drivers.

The company that Elroy posted appears to be the same as Tyler-Martin. After all, how many cartridge companies can exist in Marysville, KS???
. I use TylerMartin and the carts a fine for me. Cost me about $3. for a set of blk and color for my Canon i450.

I refill my HP cartridges.
If you get ink on your fingers, use bleach. Stinks, but works great!

i use epson printers , i have a 777 , 740 and a cx5200 3 in 1 . they all work great but the 740 is rather old and on its last leg . but i get my ink from www.monsterinkjets.com or www.megatoners.com both are about the cheapest you can find and work well . monsterinkjets is alittle slow on shipping , about 10days , so if you order from them make sure you order it BEFORE you need it .
as for printer i would say epson , cannon , brothers are the way to go . you can get some nice printers and you can get aftermarket carts that don't hurt when you order them .

If you decide to go the new printer route, I recently purchased a Canon F60 multipass (reconditioned) From Fry's for $100 bucks.
It beats the pants off my wife's HP, has a large black cartridge $10, and three color carts, also about the same price.
The print, copy, and scan functions are one touch, really simple.
Only thing I haven't tried is photos.

I have a Lexmark Z52. I'm very satisfied with the print quality on photos and everything else, BUT, cartridges (2) are about $70. So as I was at Best Buy yesterday , there was a Canon Rep in the printer aisle. Showed me one of their printers , new model I guess I forget which one. Aaaanyway, the color cartridges are individual ones. Each color seperate. To replace all of them at once was still cheaper.Use a lot of red? Just pop in a new red one. It was pretty cool. i think that will be my next choice. Also you can remove a cartridge to see the ink level. Refillable? I dunno but looks like it . If you're in someplace that sells canons , check it out.
