Outdoors CHILL-TEK.com

Hi,

Dont know if this is the right place, but has anyone else had any dealings with this company, as I placed an order with them for next day delivery on 11th January 2004, but still to receive anything from them, I've emailed and called them, but had no luck what so ever. The phone just puts you on the answering machine.

I've contacted trading standards and they just told me to send a registered letter to them about my order.

Where is this company located?

The 'About Us' link on thier site is blank.

It's not in North America. Can tell by the phone exchange.

Based in UK - thats what I've heard lol.

But the telephone number is just an answering machine ( just bleeps ).

They dont even reply to you.

I placed an order with chill tek on 29 feb 2004.
I paid the extra five pounds for the overnight delivery.
When I didn’t receive anything I tried to contact them by telephone and email.
I took three days for them (they are a one man band) to answer the phone.

After about a week I complained to world pay, the people who provide the payment service for the web site.
I then received an email from chill tek pointing out that two IDE leads I had ordered were out of stock, and that is why I had not received my order.

They promised next day delivery to include some extra free items to apologise for the delay.

After another week without receiving anything I managed to get them on the telephone, cancelled the Ide leads and again was promised next day delivery

As of today (22 march 04) I have still received nothing.


According to the web site my order wsa dispatched on 19 march
Though if I try to use the link to their tracking facility, it just links to a blank page.

I browsed to royalmail.com and entered the tracking number,
"This item cannot be tracked until delivery is complete- recheck in five days" is the reply

Great.

I have found lots of complaints in other forums about chill tek.
It has only one member of staff, and he is not mr customer service.

Like me, all of the complaints seem to end with the fact that these people have YET to receive their orders.

Complaining to world pay educed a response from chill tek but only in the form of emailed apology and empty promises.

If my order dose not arrive then I think I’ll contact my card company.

It’s a joke of a company; he answers emails and telephones when it suits him.

He being the director, mark. The bloke who is too tight fisted to pay an employee to answer the phone, reply to emails and maybe even dispatch a delivery or two.

It’s a shame that we as consumers only bother to search for company information after receiving bad service, a lesson for me for future purchases.

None of which will ever be with chill tek.
