Y2K Pro is DEFINITELY the same. Both SantaSales and Y2K Pro had someone email EVERYONE on the same day saying "We're sorry for the delay, everything will be shipped on __." Most interesting -- both the Y2K Pro "email" and ours was signed by a "Manger."

I wanna see this guy treated like Michael Jackson is lying about being treated ("dislocated shoulder" and all) by police.

Thanks speedymac.

I called AMEX and the rep was very helpful. He told me that they'll credit back the money and I should see it on my next statement. Hopefully they'll do it and I'm looking forward to it now.

According to cancelling the card, he said all the charges without my authorization will be covered by AMEX --- because I'm using AMEX, a trustable and relyable card. Sounds like he is very proud of it. This makes me think that why these thiefs still put on their website that "Only Accept AMEX and Discover card". Are they stupid or eager to goto jail?

That's great!
Peace of mind is a wonderful thing!
Your card has been compromised and anyone with the card info can use it online or over the phone and ship to another address. You could wake up one day and find your card maxed out.
Identify thieves can do a lot w/ the info we gave to this fradulant site.
I would definitely cancel the card and get a replacement one.
These thieves may have only been set up to use Amex and Discover. Hopefully they will be caught but if they move around a lot and don't use their true business or home address they may not get caught.
This was my first such experience and I will be more wary in the future.
A prosperus New Year to all.

Speedymac, if you weren't so ignorant and checked its reputation, You or anyone elso wouldn't have this problem. Why would you give a business your credit card without checking if they were real? BECAUSE YOU WERE SO EXCITED!!! RIGHT!!!
If something is too good to be true.................It usually is

Benji, you must have had a bad holiday season; I can guess why.

We weren't "so ignorant." This was not an HTML page made by a 12-year-old. This guy answered phone calls, had a "permanent address," and was part of Yahoo's "verified" merchants (yeah, right). If you have nothing helpful to say in this manner, then don't say anything

hey guys and gals,

Just a thought....Maybe there is honor among thieves. I may be wrong, but i believe that neither Amex nor Discover have cards that are attached to bank accounts (at least not as many as visa and mastercard). Maybe these s.o.b.'s think they are only stealing from the credit card companies. Because people used these cards I bet everyone will be covered. Even if everyone that used them is cleared of the charges, it still costs us all with higher interest rates and more hoops to jump through. Btw....ignorance is not a crime or a character flaw....fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me. These people wont be the 1st ripped off on the net and wont be the last. Someone has to be every business's 1st customer. Just because a business hasn't been open long doesnt mean it is a scam. My boss and I called Santasales from work and talked to a CSR. I couldnt jump in the car and drive to Philly to check out the physical address. Their price wasnt that much lower than the lowest prices we found on the net. We now know that we have to be a little more carefull out there.
My 2 cents.

Ryan

I found Santa Sales through Dealtime.com. They were hosted by Yahoo and everything seemed in order. My questions were answered politely and thoroughly. This guy(s) was good and fooled a lot of people. Unfortunately, he will probably get away with it if he doesn't have a permanent address. Let's hope the fraud detectives from AMEX think he's worth going after.
There will always be some rotten apples on the tree just like on this posting site. Fortunately here we can click a negative poster's PROFILE and IGNORE him.
All we can do is our own due diligence and hope *******s get what they deserve.
