Sapphire R9600XT at NewEgg

Has anyone ordered the retail version of the Sapphire 9600XT available at NewEgg? I want to know if it comes with the free HL2 coupon. I checked the Sapphire website and it said that some of the 9600XTs come with it and some without, but the part numbers are the same.

From my experience, you can go by what the picture shows. Sometimes Newegg will have 2-3 identical products according to the description. Look closely at the product images. Also, if you order and the picture DOES show that you get the coupon, you can call them and explain to them that you were supposed to get such-and-such and they will more than likely send it to you.

The box shown is the "Lite" retail version and as such does not come with HL-2. I should know. I just got mine from Z-Buy and the box came with the card, drivers, cable, and PowerDVD.

The upside? Well, Z-Buy had listed the card as coming with the coupon so when I ordered mine they attached the coupon to the invoice and sent it out the door. The web page was changed shortly after I had put in my order so I'm afraid the offer is expired for all intents and purposes.

I got my 9600XT for $154 with no tax, no shipping, and HL-2. Woooooooooooo...!!!

Nope, not true. Some lite and bulk boxes come with the coupon, some without. I checked the Sapphire website. Click the link below.

Yeah I saw that. Unfortunately I have yet to see any bulk or "lite" versions of the 9600XT from resellers that offered the coupon. As much as I enjoy spreadsheets, I'm gonna have to go with what's actually out in the marketplace on this one. Believe me, if I could have gotten a bulk version with the coupon then that would have been my first choice but just like you I was stumped. If you find one let me know, but all I can tell you is what I've actually seen and heard from those of us that bought the card. Best of luck.

I also got mine from Z-Buy.com for $154 with the HL2 coupon. Only problem is that as I checked the card the RAM is rated for 300MHz. I thought all Sapphire 9600XT's had the BGA RAM rated for 350MHz but shipped running at 325MHz. I dunno if there was a screw up or not. Can anyone confirm this?
