The quality of nowaday's computer parts
Did anyone get the same experience like I did?
I bought a Cendyne CD-RW drive in last February, it was malfunctioned on the first day I used it.
My Western Digital 120G harddisk was malfunctioned in less than 100 days. I lost a lot of data since I didn't make any backup yet because I would never expect it to go down in such a short time. I have changed a lot of harddisk for friends, my relatives, and myself. In 16 years, I never got a bad harddisk or I never knew that the other harddisks that I installed failed.
And I just gave a Verbatim CD_RW drive to my nephew, he said it is malfunctioned.
I bought all those things at OfficeMax. I just notice that the seal on the Western Digital 120G harddisk is different from the other Western Digital drives I have had, its seal is the same as the refurbished drive that my nephew got back from Western Digital (A plain silver-color seal without any WDC logo).
P.S. All the computer parts malfunctioned on three different computers.
