Sweet idea, not so sweet price. Would be great for a shuttle PC or something with only one 5.25" bay.

$70 isn't too bad of a price considering your getting a CDRW + DVD rom reader plus the card reader in one complete package. I've seen 1.44 floppy drives with the card readers built in go for $40.
I'd definetely buy it if I was building a system where one of the focuses was digital photography.

HM Im out of date apparently, I thought 79.99 for a Dvd-rom, Cd-rw, capable of reading all the formats, AND being able to read all these media:
Digital media
CompactFlash™ / MicroDrive™ / SmartMedia™ / Memory Stick™ / Memory Stick Pro™ / Secure Digital™ / Multimediacard™
Would be a good price.
A dvd/cd-rw by itself costs ~50.00 - 80.00 Plus the media reader ~50.00. For a total of between 100 to 130.00.
What are these selling for right now?

The Mitsumi reader won't read the Sony Memory Stick Pro, and can only read up to 128 Mg cards.
Which BTW, should be plenty for most people.
I like the CD/DVD, Read-all idea, but I don't consider BTC to be a good brand. Am I wrong about this?
I'm in the market for such a device...

Thanks Omardeth,
I keep forgetting just how fast prices can change for computer stuff like this. Last time I had checked, several months ago, the lowest price was about 50.00.

also i don't think BTC makes it just rebadges it . i will be hitting fry's in the morning to get some stuff . i know they have it on the shelf there , i saw it about 2 weeks ago when i was there getting stuff . i will pop a box open and see if i can see a model # to see if it is a rebadged drive .

Omar, I saw them a while back at Fry's B&M, on sale, I think.
It might have been oem or refurbished, came in a plain brown box.
Gonna get the FRYday paper with a six page ad in about an hour, I'll let you know if it's advertised.
