There is very little difference in stability -- Pro just has some extra networking/security features.

IMO, XP pro is better, but the price isnt justifiable under normal circumstances(color me unnormal)

IMO, either one is great. however, there seems to be some (not a lot) compatibility issues with some games. No big deal. I use Home. I'm happy.

Either, just let me know how the 64 works out. I have heard a few build reports but all are excellent. Saving my pennies and will be doing same very soon. I will do XP Pro as that's what I have now. Upgraded from 2000 Pro. I like the easy of switching users (cute graphics with the family members names on them) vs typing in the login. Its a little thing but with the wife and two young ones its a blessing.

might be a good idea to just get home and save money, then buy xp pro 64bit whenever it comes out.

Obviously XP Pro... If you are a power user. Can host on site.. Good private site, when away from home. Pro supports Remote Desktop.. And pro supports Hyperthreading.. Home does not. Just a few reasons for XP Pro.. Home is SOOOOO stripped down... Best $50 you can ever spend!
