Kids Going to buy a new computer system online... Which places are good?

I was considering either www.neocomputers.com or www.monarchsystems.com but I wondered if there is anyone else I should be aware of... Also, what is everyones experience with Monarch Computer Systems? Their reseller rating is great but some users have posted some honestly horrible things. I have about 2000 dollars to spend (out the door) and I am looking to buy a gaming system.

Dell, Alienware and Falcon Northwest are out ( Dell just plain sucks, Alienware is too pricey and their customer service sucks and FN is just TOO damn expensive.) but anything else you can suggest would be welcome

Neocomputers.com looks like a good place but they only have a 7.50 rating.

Any advice folks?

Thanks in advance!

www.newegg.com has good prices on parts if you plan on building yourself. They have a high 9.8 rating too. IMO I would build your own and with a budget like yours you can build one mean machine.

I hate Dell, Sorry. I dont like how they treat their customers, I have read the customer reviews here and everywhere else and I dont want to bother with a company that treats its customers like ****. I make it a point not to deal with bloated corporations when I can avoid it.

The problem with a Dell is that they all seem to run the same speed. Whether you buy their $349 deal or their $2,000 system they all seem sluggish.

Go look at Dell's customer care forums & see how many people have bought 8xxx series Dells with 9800's, 1gb ram, etc. etc. etc. and they complain of how slow they run and their disappointment.

It's a sad prospect but that's how it is lately. Here are a couple examples of local computer companies I've dealt with that are pretty good at what they do. Remember, too, that aside from the HUGE companies (Dell, HP, Compaq, IBM, etc.) these middle & smaller companies are only going to be as good as the builders that are working there this week.........

(just a couple suggestions)

And, you will begin to free yourself from the shakles of the computer salesman who knows one more thing than you know.

He knows you don't know, so you will believe whatever BS he cares to dish out.

Honestly, register at NewEGG, and start a wish list, have senior forum members tweak it for you till it's perfect for you, and build it yourself. It will be a great adventure, and you will get mega value for your money.

From being here and reading posts a long time, I've heard 99% good things about Monarch. Very good reseller. You could also go to resellerratings.com and pull up everybody above a 9 with 150 reviews or more.

But here's some anyway:
