Kids Case Opinions and Ideas

Hey all!

I was wondering if people could give me their opinions and advantages of the two cases I list below and which one you would go with taking in to account I want a quiet computer but also a cool one and will not be doing any overclocking. I plan on a top of the line system going in to it (i.e. P4 3.2, ATI9800 XT, DVD-RW, CD-RW, Antec Truepower supply, etc.).

Ahanix Dbox http://www.ahanix.com/dbox.html

Lian-Li PC-65 http://www.lian-li.com/product.php?a...a8d01e9bd82756

Please state specifically if you own or have owned this specific version of the cases or have good words to say about the company overall.

My friend just got the lian-Li Pc-65, it is amazing, evrything can be taken apart, nothing is riveted so that it cannot become shaky over time. The hardrive bays can be taken out as well as the whole motherboard and power suppy by unscrewing a couple screws. This case works like a clothing drawer. If you want your shirt (motherboard)out but dont want to get anythign else, just slide it out and it leaves evrything else in place.

Get that case, ebcause evrything fits like a lego kit, and evrything can be moddified, There is a fan on the top which disperses all the hot air, as well as two fans in the front drawing air through a dust filter. This case is well worth the money. If youw ant Instant message my friend with the case his sn is "Sheibyryan"

Once you go Lian-Li, you never go back. [pets PC-71] My next machine will be using a PC-65 I think, if I can still find a normal one for sale anywhere.

the LianLi might be great built and everything but it looks plain boring, to me at least. the ahanx looks very cool on the other hand.

Get the Lian-Li

If you look at the detail views on the Ahanix site, the DBox has really crappy construction. With the Lian-Li you can be sure that it is constructed really well. Also, obviously it's a matter of opinion, but I think the Lian-Li looks cooler.

BTW, if you don't want your beige optical drives and floppy to make the case look crappy, Lian-Li now makes covers that are much the same as the ones on the DBox, but are aluminum. I know Directron carries them, but I'm not sure who else does.
